Introduction
Our Client is one of the leading providers of basketball information on the Internet. It gives its users -- the basketball enthusiast -- an opportunity to transform their computers into an around-the-clock online basketball network.
Challenge
The client invited Binary Semantics to design and develop their Web Site. The objective was to use client's web site as a medium to bring the sport of basketball on all levels i.e. profession, college, high school, pro-am, international, etc. to the public. This would help to build brand identity as well as generate awareness and interest in their company.
The challenge was to make interactive multimedia site with lots of images, and streaming videos, without compromising on performance. Provision had to be kept for displaying Live and Archived Audio Visual content on the site.

The team composition selected for the project was a balanced mix of Technical as well as Creative resources.
Some of the salient features of our client's web site are -
- Videos - Users can select videos from available categories and play their choice of video in a video player. The application has been designed such that Upload and Management of Video/ Images is simple process. Some of the commonlysupported formats are -.wmv,.mpeg1, .mpeg2, .avi, .mpeg4 etc.
- Picture Viewer - This is a section on the Home Page where the focus moves from one picture to another (with its related content), thus preserving the page freshness and capturing the viewer interest.
- Advertisements - This feature allows the Site Administrator to display and manage the media content (banners/sponsor logos/sponsored links) against a particular sponsor at selective places on the web site.
