The company is active in more than 130 countries at present and aims to become the responsible energy major. In India, Total Energy is working on renewable energy, petroleum and bio-based products, etc,

Total Energy operates in dynamic and geographically diverse regions of India, where the transportation of vital energy assets like oil, gas, and petroleum products is crucial. In India, Total Energy faced challenges in securing and managing its valuable energy assets during transportation. However, Total Energy faced the following significant challenges,

  • Total Energy’s assets faced security threats during transportation. Any instances of theft, tampering, and unauthorized access to Total Energy’s containers can result in financial losses
and pose a risk to the company’s reputation.
  • Total Energy relied heavily on manual tracking and manual asset management processes. This led to delivery delays, impacting on customer satisfaction. To avoid that Total Energy wanted some precise tracking points for vehicles.
One of our biggest concerns was unauthorized access and theft. Fleetrobo’s secure e-lock feature turned out to be a game-changer.

Manager – Logistics, Total Energy

Total Energy initiated an investigation and determined that the ideal solution would be a technology-based system that can replace all manual processes. Following a comprehensive market analysis, Total Energy joined forces with FleetRobo to implement GPS E-Lock solutions across their
energy transportation network.

The solution: FleetRobo’s GPS e-lock 1

Customized adoption

FleetRobo initially used a power unlock option, allowing the GPS e-lock device unlocking through a server command even outside the geofence. Inside the geofence, a general password set at the backend was used for unlocking. But later, OTP system was implemented. Once the trip was created, a OTP was sent via message to a designated mobile number (L1 and L2 layers) at the destination location, specifically at Maruti Plant in Gurgaon.

Trusted Login system

A Transporter login system was introduced by FleetRobo. Thereby granting transporters the ability to create trips and be responsible for locking the devices. To ensure compliance, FleetRobo ensured that the trips could only be created if the lock was within the designated geofence.

What truly sets Fleetrobo apart is its exceptional support and service. Their team was responsive, proactive, and attentive to our needs throughout the implementation and beyond.
