Your Role and Beyond

Your role is to plan, create and code web pages, using both technical and non-technical skills to produce websites and designs.

What you will do

• Gather and evaluate user requirements.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
• Develop mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables).
• work with other web specialists, including web developers and graphic designers to produce the final output
• work with different content management systems like - WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Ektron, Zope.
• Optimising sites for maximum speed and scalability
• Designing engaging and responsive landing pages
• Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet

The skills you need to bring along-

• Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
• Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
• Good collaboration and communication skills.
• Familiarity with responsive design frameworks like- Bootstrap, Gumby, Foundation, Montage etc.
